Hello all you Croc Fans!
As summer begins to wind down, I can't help but reflect on what a great summer it has been. I have plenty of opportunities to relax on my favorite log and kick back with some good books. The best thing I have read so far has been the 39 Clues series. It is action packed. cousin eat cousin kind of story I can just devour.
As great as summer has been, I am excited about the new school year in the SWAMP! We are going to get DIRTy and I love a good mud bath! Seriously,, getting dirty is the only way to wrestle with big ideas and get stronger. After all, the smarter and stronger you are- the more successful you will be. I, Crocky, plan on being the smartest, strongest croc to ever roam this world. Can't wait to see my fellow crocs in a few weeks!

The Tale of Despereaux

May 1, 2008~Despereaux is a mouse that was born in a castle. His father just thought he was going to died soon. His brother gets in trouble and blames him. His mother calls him “the disappointment”. They all think and feel that way about him because he was smaller than a regular mouse when he was born when he was born his eyes were already open and he had the biggest ears. But he got uses to being treated this way as he got older.
When he was growing up his ears grew with him. Those huge ears allowed him to hear the beautiful princess that lived in the castle. He also fell in love with her. He got in a heap of trouble just for love. With the help of a needle with red thread and half a tail he would become the hero for all mouse kind.

Tail of Emily Windsnap- How it All Started

February 28, 2008~ Emily Windsnap is a regular girl one day and a “fishgirl” the next. She has never been swimming in her whole life. She takes showers but not baths because they live on a boat and so there is not enough room. But finally she goes in the water. She begs her mom for 10 years (Emily is 13 now) to get in the water. But when she did . . . it happened. But what happened? Did she drown? Did she swim? You bet she swam! Like a “pro” is what the coach called it. But right then she was changing. The rest of the swim team thought she was drowning. She was rescued. She still didn’t know what had happened so she went to find out and this was a big body change.
She was a mermaid!
Now Emily, Slona, Jake (a very important person but I won’t tell who), and Emily’s mom to set things straight! ~ Submitted by Destiny J.
